Wow! We're already in the 4th quarter of this school year. The staff and students have worked hard all year and have accomplished so much. As we wind up the second semester there are several important dates to remember:
April 10 Good Friday- No Classes
April 13 Staff Development- No classes
April 23 Family Movie Night- Greeley Elem. students and their families may enjoy the feature film "Space Buddies". The building will open at 6:00; refreshments will be served until 6:20 and the movie will begin promptly at 6:20pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult the entire evening.
April 29 Free Tdap & Varicella immunization clinic for USD 365/St Rose students 4-6pm in the ACHS Library. ** If your child had the chickenpox disease you must report the month/year of the disease in writing to the school by the end of this school year (May 2009). If it isn't in writing by then, your child will require the immunization. **
May 6 Pizza Hut Fundraiser Night in Garnett sponsored by PTO. When you eat at the Garnett Pizza Hut, 20% of your purchase is donated to our school.
May 7 K-2nd grade field trip to the Kansas City Zoo. Mrs Cubit and Mrs Entress will be setting up a schedule and provide it as soon as possible. The bus will depart from the school at 8:30 am and will leave from the zoo at 1:00 pm.
May 7 3rd & 4th grade field trip to "Day on the Farm" sponsored by An.Co. Farm Bureau. Location: Anderson Co fairgrounds in Garnett from 9:00am-2:00pm. Time of departure from school to be announced later.
May 14 5th & 6th grade field trip to the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City. More information at a later date.
May 17 ACHS Graduation
May 19 Play Day at the football field in Garnett. Schedules of student activities will be sent home. Be sure to dress children appropriately for weather and put sunscreen on them.
May 20 Play Day Rain Date
May 21 End of 4th Quarter & 2nd Semester! Pride Assembly @ 10:45, lunch, then dismissal at 1:00pm.
