WELCOME TO YOUR 2008-09 SOCIAL STUDIES CLASS!
CLASS RULES:
1. Bring appropriate materials to class – textbook, spiral notebook, folder, pencil/pen(no red), project materials.
2. Respect teacher’s and other’s space, materials, efforts and opinions.
3. Assignments are given a due date for a reason. Late work will be accepted, but at a 25% deduction for the first week. Following weeks will cost you 25% each. SO AFTER 3 WEEKS, IT IS A ZERO(0).
4. ILLNESS RULE – 1 day of excused absence equals 2 days to make up an assignment. Students at school events need to complete work prior to the trip.
5. Please respect my effort to return graded assignments in a timely fashion.
6. FINAL GRADE – TOTAL POINTS SCORED DIVIDED BY POINTS POSSIBLE.
7. Extra credit is not possible in this class. Please complete the assignments and your grade will reflect you efforts.
Grading Scale Discipline Process
100-90 A REFOCUS
89-80 B First Offense – Teacher/student conference
79-70 C Second Offense – Office Involvement(Parent)
69-60 D Third Offense – WILL NOT HAPPEN!

DISCLAIMER – I want every student to succeed in my classes. I reserve the right to re-test students, if the basic materials are not mastered. My challenge is to promote comprehension of the subject and I have the obligation to each student to work toward that goal.
