Classroom Expectations

ASSIGNMENTS:
1.  Assignments will be given everyday, so you must have your textbook, notebook, calculator, paper and pencils with you everyday.
2.
  The following information is to be on all of your daily papers.
                                YOUR NAME,  CLASS HOUR,  LESSON NUMBER,  PAGE ASSIGNMENT
3.  All daily assignments are expected to be completed on time.  Assignments that are not done at the time of grading are considered late and will be graded at half credit.  Detentions may also be assigned to students who do not complete their assignments.
4.
  If a student is absent he/she is responsible for getting the missed assignment from me and turning it in on time.

NOTEBOOKS:
1.  All students are required  to keep a math notebook.
2.
  Notes will be taken everyday, so bring your notebook everyday.
3.
  If a student is absent he/she is responsible for getting the missed notes from a classmate.
4.
  Notebooks will be graded frequently for their content and completeness.

PLANNERS:
1.  You must bring your planner with you to class every day.  You will not be able to leave the room without having it as your hall pass. 
2.  You are encouraged to record the daily assignment in your planner every day.
3.
  Before you are able to use the Internet in my classroom your will have to have the computer permission page in your planner signed by both yourself and your parents.

TESTS/QUIZZES:
1.  Several quizzes will be given each unit.
2.
  A 100-point test will be given at the end of each unit.
3.
  There will be a semester final and an end-of-the-year final.

GRADES:
1.  TESTS will make up 50% of your grade.
2.
  QUIZZES will make up 25% of your grade.
3.  DAILY ASSIGNMENTS will make up 25% of your grade.
4.
  All students will be able to earn 100 participation points each quarter.  Points will be earned for following class rules, taking part in class discussions, for returning grade reports on time, turning assignments in on time, etc.
