The school year is underway, and I hope everyone had a great summer. My expectations are high this year as we start the year preparing for state assessments next spring. My eighth grade English students will begin the year studying prefixes, suffixes and base words (formerly called root words). I hope my students are as excited to start the new school year as I am.
