Whether you're an old hand at the game or someone just wanting to learn how the pieces move, we hope you'll choose the ACJSH Chess Club as the place you exercise your brain!
Our club strives to provide a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere for playing and learning the game of chess. We meet every morning before school at 7:30am. in room 100A and after school (times vary).
Our Tournament Competition Team participates in United States Chess Federation (USCF) and Kansas Scholastic tournaments.

Every October 9th is National Chess Day by the Presidential proclamation still in effect. Ben Franklin thought chess was an excellent activity for the mind. He often used it as an "ice breaker" in his diplomatic missions across Europe.
