District Listening Sessions – Community Thank You & Key Takeaways

Over the past several weeks, USD 365 hosted five community Listening Sessions to gather input on the future of our schools. We sincerely thank every student, parent, staff member, and community member who took the time to attend, share ideas, and complete our priority survey. Your feedback is deeply valued and will guide our planning moving forward.
During these sessions, we collected meaningful input across ten key areas: Finances, Facilities, Student Achievement, Graduate Skills, CTE/Post-Secondary, Athletics, Arts & Activities, Early Learning & After-School Care, Safety/Wellness, Community Partnerships, and Special Projects.
Survey results highlighted several top priorities for our district:
- Student Achievement – expanding tutoring opportunities and after school programming at the elementary schools, strengthening summer learning, and increasing supports to help all students grow.
- Facility Repairs – addressing essential maintenance needs, including the ACJSHS roof and Westphalia windows.
- CTE Expansion – increasing career and technical education options and opportunities for students.
- Community Involvement – building stronger partnerships that create work-study, job-shadowing, and internship experiences.
- Building Efficiency – evaluating enrollment, costs, and resource use to ensure long-term fiscal responsibility.
We appreciate your commitment to helping shape the future of USD 365 and ensuring we continue to serve our students and community with excellence. Additional updates, including next steps based on this input, will be shared in the coming months.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Most,
Superintendent
